Photo: Kenson Noel \/ \u00a9 Takashi Murakami \/ Kaikai Kiki Co., Ltd.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\r\n\r\nAnother artistic intervention that inspires us, showing one of the many ways that art can contribute to health!\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nInternationally renowned Japanese artist Takashi Murakami<\/strong>, known for his way of seeing the world as a rainbow – hued landscape, has recently created a project that brings a smile to sick children.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nAt Washington, D.C.\u2019s Children\u2019s National Hospital, the famous smiling daisies and Murakami\u2019s colorful universe transformed the CT scan room. The tomography machine itself, which usually causes fear in patients regardless of age, is now adorned with cheerful, bright colors and patterns, in order to prevent some of the anxiety of young patients.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe initiative was supported by the Gagosian Gallery and the RxArt organization, known for its vision to improve the lives of sick children, and their main activity, the assignment of projects to modern artists in various US hospitals.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
